Protecting Your Ideas
Introductory Seminar on the protection of trademarks and designs on the occasion of "World Intellectual Property Day"
Each year, World Intellectual Property Day draws attention to the important role that intellectual property rights play in the protection of innovative ideas and their commercial exploitation. In Germany, the Patent Information Centers, in collaboration with the German Patent and Trade Mark Office DPMA and other organizations, are organizing an event series on the topic.
The introductory seminar “Protection of Trademarks and Designs” takes place on April 26, 2017, between 2 and 5pm, at the Aachen Chamber of Commerce, Sandkaulbach 21. The instructor, Heike Karzel from DPMA, will provide information on the basics of trademark law and design patent protection, such as registering patents and enforcing copyright protection, and answer questions from participants. In addition, Sonja Labitzke will report on her experience as an entrepreneur. Subsequently, both experts will be available for discussion on questions on the exploitation of ideas and inventions.
The event is organized by the AGIT Regional Development Agency, the Center of Patents and Standards PNZ, the Aachen Chamber of Commerce, and IHK Aachen. Attendance is free of charge. Please register for the event by April 21, 2017, by phone at +49 241 8094481 or via email to the Center of Patents and Standards.
Please note that the event will be held in German.
