RWTH Start-Up Provides Advice on Home Heating Solutions
The Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control has increased funding for energy efficient home heating systems. On April 18, 2015, modEnergo, a spin-off company from RWTH Aachen, offers free advising on energy use and the new funding opportunities.
Recently, the Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control (BAFA) has markedly increased its funding for energy-efficient heating systems. The good news is that many heating system currently on the market are eligible for funding; however, there is a wide range of heating systems on offer and the funding mechanisms are highly complex; therefore, it is very difficult for home owners to find the optimal heating solution.
Against this backdrop, experts from modEnerco offer free energy consulting services on April 18, 2015 at the Glass Cube on Holzgraben, between 10am and 5pm. The RWTH spin-off has developed a software application which is capable of finding the right heating solution for individual buildings and exactly calculating BAFA funding.
For those who cannot make it on April 18, the modEnerco (de) website offers useful tools and advice on the optimization of home heating systems. Furthermore, it helps you find heating maintenance and repair services in the region.
modEnerco received an EXIST start-up grant from the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy for its highly innovative business concept.
