Support for Advanced Talents
With the Individual Mentoring and Coaching service, we offer RWTH Aachen’s advanced talents support with their academic career and attaining their individual goals.
Our offerings are targeted towards junior professors – with or without tenure positions, junior research group leaders, and postdocs with awards and grants such as the DFG Emmy Noether, EU Marie-Curie, and ERC Starting Grants.
The program, specifically designed for this target group, includes mentoring and individual coaching components. It is supplemented every year by the Advanced Talents Day, an information and networking event held in collaboration with the University of Cologne.
Our objective is to offer early career researchers the best framework for their path to professorship and help them prepare for leadership and management responsibilities.
To support their professional and personal development, early-career researchers have the opportunity to take advantage of the professional development offerings of the Center for Professional Leadership. Junior professor in addition have the opportunity to participate in the workshops for professors.
Expressly recommended by the Rector’s Office, all these offerings for Advanced Talents are under the patronage of Professor Doris Klee, Vice-Rector for Human Resources Management and Development.
