The winner of the 2016 EUNIS best paper award is…
…“A secure infrastructure for mobile blended learning applications” of Marius Politze, Steffen Schaffert and Bernd Decker of the IT Center RWTH Aachen University.

The EUNIS (European University Information Systems) is a corporation for European University Information Systems. Itīs supporting member institutions develop their IT landscape by sharing experiences and working together.

One of the main EUNIS activities is its annual congress. The 22nd EUNIS Congress took place in Thessaloniki, Greece in June 2016. These events are always very well attended, by up to 300 delegates from more than 30 countries. Before each congress EUNIS organizes a day of workshops, seminars and tutorials which many delegates attend.

The highlight of the congress is the award ceremony. Marius Politze, Steffen Schaffert and Bernd Decker from the IT Center RWTH University Aachen participate in one of a total of three award nominations and won the Best Paper Award with “A secure infrastructure for mobile blended learning applications”.

The best paper by these three employees of the IT Center deals with a secure infrastructure for mobile blended learning applications. Because of the increasing number and heterogeneity of devices, automation and individualization of processes as well as changing behavior of students demands changes on existing university IT systems. This led us to the creation of an infrastructure designed for secure mobile access: After three years of operation this infrastructure is now supporting several blended learning scenarios and other university processes.

Congratulations to our winners!!!
